Gerontech and innovation expo cum summit (GIES) is an exhibition which jointly hosted by HKSAR government and Hong Kong Council of social service, and co-organized with Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. About 160 exhibitors will share their technological and innovative product to enhance the quality of life of the elderly and people with disabilities in both community and institutional settings.
It is the second year for Sanwa BioTech joining GIES. The exhibition was prosperous, especially being more popular than expected during the 4th wave of COVID-19 outbreak in HK. Sanwa Biotech was one of the spotlights of HKSTP pavilion to promote rapid diagnostics solution supporting point-of-care settings for COVID-19 at clinics, nursing facilities and temporary diagnostic booth in HK communities. We received compliments from ITC and Department of Health commissioners for our technology accomplishment. Dr. Lam (CEO of Haven of Hope) and the SKH welfare team showed great interest on implementing our solution for COVID-19 diagnostics at their organizations. We look forward to our product, ALiA SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test launch in HK upon receive FDA EUA approval.
