Since the founding of Sanwa BioTech in 2021, our CEO, Kelvin Chiu, had set out mission of meeting testing needs for major diseases such as severe acute respiratory syndrome, swine flu, as well as the new coronavirus. Until today, the company’s ALiA system could deliver multiple results within 15 minutes, using only one sample drop that would be taken from a person under a point-of-care setting.
To honor his tireless pursuit of technological advances which help Hong Kong’s overburdened health care facilities Kelvin was nominated for the Spirit of HK Award 2020 under the Spirit of Innovation category. The award is co-organized by Sino Group and SCMP to honors the achievements of people whose endeavors may have gone unnoticed.
